INDOOR AIR QUALITY
IAQ Initial Site Visit
The first step is to have one of our Industrial Hygiene Consultants conduct an Initial Site Visit, which typically includes:
- Obtaining a detailed history and collecting necessary background information, including:
- Health complaints
- Building construction and usage history
- HVAC system design
- History of operations or events that might be contributing to the problem
- Background on surrounding environment
- Chronology and success of previous interventions
- Regulatory compliance and enforcement history
- Inspecting all accessible areas of immediate concern, plus utility spaces, storage areas, heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) systems, exterior of building, etc.
- Evaluation of any potential physical, chemical or biological factors that may be contributing to poor indoor air quality.
- Recording digital images of areas of concern for use in final report.
- Compiling careful field notes and research data to document and analyze findings and facilitate useful and accurate reporting
