Full-Time Environmental Field Consultant
Garden State Environmental, Inc., an indoor air quality, occupational safety and health and environmental consulting firm, has an exciting opportunity for an Environmental Field Consultant. The ideal candidate will live in northern/central New Jersey and will routinely travel to our client locations throughout NJ, NY and PA. Flexibility in working from home office is possible.
Applicants should have at least a bachelor’s degree in a scientific field and at least 1 to 5 years experience in the indoor air quality, environmental health & safety, or related field, and must be computer literate. Experience in conducting indoor air quality, microbial investigations, asbestos and lead paint inspections, and knowledge of construction is preferred. The work will primarily involve field work; conducting investigations, collecting environmental samples, communicating verbally and in writing to clients and contractors, helping build client relationships, and preparing reports. Additional work may include other types of industrial hygiene and environmental assignments.
Candidates must possess the ability to work independently, must have strong verbal and written communication skills and must be dependable, disciplined, flexible, physically able to carry out field assignments, and detail oriented.
