Environmental Field Consultant

Garden State Environmental, Inc. (GSE) is an independent environmental, health and safety (EHS) consulting firm, in business since 1985. We have an opening for an entry level Environmental Field Consultant. This position offers an exciting opportunity to start your career in the EHS field as part of a growing consulting company. Work involves consulting and conducting testing services in the industrial hygiene, safety and environmental fields. Examples include performing sites inspections, collecting and submitting various types of samples to laboratories, evaluating data, preparing reports and consulting on exposures to chemical, physical and biologic agents, indoor air quality, mold, asbestos and related occupational and indoor environmental exposures.

The position requires routine travel to our client locations throughout NJ, metro NY and eastern PA. Some overnight travel, night and weekend work may be required. Flexibility in working from home office is possible. All expenses will be paid by GSE.

Applicants should have at least a bachelor’s or masters degree in a scientific or related field. Some experience in industrial hygiene or environmental science is helpful but not required.

Candidates must have the physical ability to complete essential job tasks and to work independently and as part of a team, have strong verbal and written communication skills, good organization skills and must be dependable, disciplined, flexible and detail oriented. Applicants must have good computer skills and a safe driving record. GSE offers a competitive compensation and benefit package.
