DONNA RUCCIONE

Donna RuccioneMs. Ruccione is an environmental consultant and public health professional with over twelve years of related experience. Her areas of emphasis have included regulatory environmental health inspections, environmental field investigations, health and safety planning, and education and training.

Before joining GSE, she worked with for both Monmouth and Passaic County Health Departments, private consulting firms and as a contractor for the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). While working for the EPA, she conducted initial field investigation of Superfund Sites in Region 2, where she coordinated personnel, sampling of air, water and soil, data collection and health & safety monitoring.

As a Health and Safety Officer, Ms. Ruccione has developed Health and Safety plans and procedures, conducted on-site health and safety monitoring, trained personnel on site specific safety procedures and protocols and developed safety plans for site specific investigations.

Her most recent work experience with the EPA involved developing training materials for the EPA 40 hour “Hazardous Materials and Incident Response and Operations” course for use in EPA Region 2 and for other Regions throughout the country. She also presented lectures on health and safety procedures, use of personal protective equipment, field sampling techniques, site operations and related topics.

Academically, Ms. Ruccione has earned a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Environmental Science from Ramapo College and is a Registered Environmental Health Specialist. She also has been accredited by the EPA as an AHERA Inspector and Management Planner.
